ZZ/OSS Wiki - Zzoss Installer Architecture Data Dir

The installer stores all its data in a directory specified on the first setup of the installer with the following directory structure:

*/cache/: here the installer stores serialized dumps of parsed xml files for caching reasons.

*/installer/: contains installer relevant files like serialized composed arrays (flags, serialized application/package arrays, ..)

*/downloads/: here the installer places tgz files which will be automatically extracted when executing the installer. so it is possible to ship the installer with a predefined set of applications / packages / distributions, so no online connection is needed afterwards.
