The PEAR::OAI Server is based on the 
PEAR::HTML_Template_IT package. This is particularly useful to map a legacy structure in a backend to available output templates, especially when returning metadata of a record in a certain format.
This is a list of available output templates:

- Default: Support for Dublin Core metadata
Installation

Example
If you have different field names in your DB tables, then simply adjust the template block and value placeholders with the name of your field names. The following example is based on the default output package and shows how to change the initial template block

to
<!-- BEGIN my_field -->
<dc:identifier>{my_field}</dc:identifier>
<!-- END my_field -->
to meet the different column names of your table.
